Norton Motors Ltd was founded in 1898 by James Lansdowne Norton but it will be from 1907, after the victory of Rem Flowers on the Isle of Man circuit, that the great racing tradition of the English brand begins.Between 1930 and 1937 Norton will win 78 of the 92 Grand Prix races.After the Second World War, created specifically for the competition from which it derives its name (Isle of Man TT), the Manx was born.To adapt it to the characteristics of the circuit, it will be the first to use the double cradle frame (Featherbed), collecting a long series of successes between 1947 and 1954.The legendary single-cylinder, driven by the intrepid G. Duke, won the World Championship in 1950 and 1951.
